Some notes when using the spotter.
More often than not the spotter is pretty accurate in determining the make and model of a vehicle. Especially when considering how many makes and models of vehicles there are around the globe! It’s pretty impressive really.
In the case of those harder-to-find top base stats SpotRacers though, it can be difficult to get the right result. Sometimes it may take multiple spotter attempts before it will produce the result you were expecting.
It can also vary a lot depending on the angle of the shot, so it is always worth trying to take the shot from different angles. Try capturing the vehicle from the side, front and rear. Try close-up shots too.
Did you know that the spotter can also sometimes recognise a vehicle from its interior? Give it a go! Capture the vehicle’s interior dash and steering wheel in shot. You also may not have realised that you can also pinch to zoom in and out from the spotter camera screen.
Some quirks have occurred in the past too. One player discovered that purposely blurring the resulting shot, for example moving your phone as you press the shot button produced a different result to an in-focus shot. And in some cases, really good base stat SpotRacers have been discovered this way.
Unfortunately, some good base stats SpotRacers are simply no longer available to players who missed them the first time. This can occur when a new SpotRacer is added to the game and adjustments are made to vehicle matching.
